(Web Desk) Sri Lanka got permission from the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) to host the Asia Cricket Cup 2022.



According to media reports, the Asia Cup will be held in Sri Lanka as per schedule and the event will be played from August 27 to September 11.


The qualifying round of the Asia Cup will begin on August 21 while traditional rivals Pakistan and India will meet on August 28, with the official schedule of the event announced soon.


Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Bangladesh are in the main round while teams from United Arab Emirates (UAE), Nepal, Oman and Hong Kong will play qualifying rounds.
