Pakistan easily defeated West Indies by 53 runs in the third and final ODI of the series and swept the series 0-3.

The visitors were all out for 216 in pursuit of the 270-run targt.
In the last match of the series played at Multan Cricket Stadium, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first.

 Due to bad weather, the match was stopped and it was limited to 48 overs per innings.

 The national team scored 269 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated 48 overs where Shadab Khan was prominent by playing the best innings of his career of 86 runs.

 In this match, the bat of captain Babar Azam remained silent, he was dismissed for just one run.

 The West Indies bowler kept the Pakistani batsmen in trouble by showing measured bowling.

 Openers Fakhr Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq provided a good start for the team, both adding 85 runs for the first wicket where Fakhr returned to the pavilion with 35 runs.

 The newcomer batsman was captain Babar Azam who was the guest of only one run, while Mohammad Rizwan and Mohammad Haris could not stay on the wicket for long after him.

 The national team had lost five important wickets for 117 runs. In such a situation, first Khush Dil Shah with 34 runs and then the tail enders supported Shadab Khan.

 Shadab played a memorable innings of 86 off 78 balls which included 4 fours and 3 sixes.
West Indies captain Nicholas Pooran took 4 wickets for 48 runs in 10 overs while Chemo Paul stood out with 2 wickets.

 Chasing the target, the West Indies batsmen were kept under pressure by the Pakistani bowlers from the beginning and kept taking wickets from time to time.

 Half of the West Indies team had already returned to the pavilion before reaching the figure of 100, in which case Aqeel Hussain with the help of 2 fours and 6 sixes scored an electrifying 60 runs and tried to take the team to the target which the team won. Proved to be insufficient.

 Casey Carty was the other leading batsman for the visitors with 33 runs while Chemo Paul and Shy Hope played 21, 21 innings.

 After batting, Shadab Khan was also successful in bowling. He bowled 4 wickets for 62 runs in 9 overs.

 Mohammad Nawaz and Hassan Ali took two wickets each while Mohammad Wasim Jr. and his debutant Shahnawaz Dahani took one wicket each.
Shadab Khan was declared the best player of the match for his all-round performance while Imam-ul-Haq was declared the best player of the series.



Dahani's one-day debut

Shahnawaz Dhani is making his debut against West Indies. He received his one-day debut cap from Shaheen Shah Afridi.

 National team captain Babar Azam said that two changes have been made today, fast bowler Shahnawaz Dhani and Hassan Ali have been included in the team.
