Nicholas Pooran had earlier bowled just three balls in international cricket.  These three balls will definitely be in the quota which is usually asked to throw a 'bowler' like Puran when he is unfit, in the middle of a regular bowler.
Or it will be within the quota when the match has reached its logical conclusion well ahead of schedule and the captain wants to save his tired regular regular attack from the embarrassment of at least a farewell shot after a day of defeat. ۔

But when Puran decided to attack himself here, it was probably not even in his own mind that he would fulfill his spell, let alone take three more wickets along with his debut wicket.

In ODI cricket, such experiences are limited to trying to break the partnership. Fakhr Zaman's thoughts were similar when he tried to play Puran as a 'ding tapau' bowler instead of thinking too much and this proved to be his mistake. Because the line on which Puran was focused became a source of pride.
Although in the recent matches in Multan we saw that majority of spectators try to reach the stadium after dusk to avoid the heat of day but as soon as Pakistan decided to bat the queues were formed outside the stadium and Pakistani spectators Bhagam Bhag arrived to watch the batting of his captain Babar Azam.
But the anti-climax of all their efforts was that Babar suddenly got confused in front of Walsh Jr. and all the hopes of the spectators remained in his heart and when all of a sudden Nicholas Pooran wiped out the Pakistani middle order. The biggest question was who would play so many overs lagging behind and how Pakistan would go beyond the possibility of a dramatic defeat.

Because if the target was less than two and a half hundred, this West Indian batting line could have dared to reach it and instead of returning, it would have taken a win with it.

But Shadab Khan got in the way.

Shadab had not played the last two or three overs but half an innings and it was not possible for him to come and leave with four or five big shots.

There were two goals, the first was to continue the Pakistani innings till the last ball and the second was to get a valuable combination in this journey which would be defensible for the Pakistani attack in the second innings.

In Shadab's innings we got a glimpse of all the three formats of cricket. By the time he reached the crease, he had lost five wickets for just 117 runs. According to the pulse of 100 matches, he started his career like Test cricket, then slowly came into ODI mode and finally put on T20 gears.

But Shadab's invasion of the West Indies was not limited to this. At a time when Carty was adjusting the direction of the innings after the early shocks and the West Indies innings was about to get on track, Shadab forced Carty out of the crease to play against spin.

Not only that, when almost all the palaces of hope were demolished, Aqeel Hussain set fire to the boats and changed the balance of the match so fast with his smoky batting that for a while even the Pakistani camp was in turmoil. It was Shadab who persuaded Aqeel from his flight and forced him to get out of the crease.

The first match of the I-West Indian team here on the tour was due to the heat of Multan and then last evening the visiting team also got a direct experience of the wind of Multan which suspended the game for a long time but more than the wind of Multan. Shadab was 'memorable' for him that the wind had only suspended the game for a while but Shadab Khan ended the game for the West Indies from scratch.
