The disappointing performance of the Pakistan women's team continued in the Commonwealth Games, the Indian women's team won by 8 wickets in the second match of the cricket event. 




In this match, Pakistan team captain Bisma Maroof won the toss and decided to bat first.


 In this match, which was limited to 18 overs due to rain, the last five wickets of the Pakistan team fell within just 3 runs.


After Iram Javed was dismissed for zero at the beginning of the innings, Muniba Ali and Bisma Maruf made a good partnership of 50 runs and tried to put the team in a better position.


 However, when Bisma Maruf, who scored 17 runs on a total of 50, and Muniba, who scored 32 runs on a total of 51, got out, the batsmen who came after them could not show sufficient performance.


 Apart from Umaima Sohail 10, Ayesha Naseem 10 and Alia Riaz 18 runs, none of the batsmen could enter into double figures.


 The last 5 wickets of the Pakistan team fell within just 3 runs and the team scored only 99 runs after losing all wickets in 18 overs.


 In pursuit of the target, the Indian women's team advanced the innings with an unstoppable speed of the Pakistani women's bowlers and ended up winning by losing 2 wickets in the 12th over.



Smriti Mandana played an innings of 63 runs on behalf of the Indian women's team, while Shifali Verma scored 16 runs and S Menghana scored 14 runs.


 The two falling wickets of the Indian team were taken by Tuba Hasan and Umaima Sohail.


 It should be noted that the Pakistan Women's team has faced defeat in their opening two matches of the Commonwealth Games while their last group match will be against Australia.
