The second match of the three-match ODI series between India and England was won by 100 runs.  Batting first, England set a target of 247 against India.  In reply, Team India managed to score only 146 runs and lost the match by 100 runs.  England Beat India by 100 Runs.


In the second ODI, England scored 246 runs while batting first. After the first innings, India's victory looked almost certain, but the England bowlers already bowled brilliantly from the over. Stop runs at the beginning and then take wickets intermittently. In the end, the Indian team piled up 146 runs and lost the match by 100 runs. Racey Topley was England's leading wicket-taker with six wickets. Both teams are tied at 1.1 in the series.




England were all out for 246 in the second ODI on Thursday thanks to the brilliant bowling of Yevinder Chahal (10 overs 47 runs 4 wickets). No England batsman could reach 50 runs. Moin Ali scored 47, David Willey 41 and Jonny Bairstow 38 runs.


India decided to bowl first after winning the toss and started putting pressure on England on the first ball. England openers Jason Roy and Barstow batted cleverly and added 41 runs for the first wicket but Roy was caught by Surya Kumar Yadav after playing a loose shot on Hardik Pandya's ball. Roy played 33 balls and scored 23 runs with the help of two fours and a six.


Like the first match, this time too England's middle order failed. Shortly after Roy's dismissal, Chahal bowled Bairstow and returned to the pavilion, followed by a flurry of wickets. After losing the wickets of Joe Root (11), Ben Stokes (21) and captain Jose Butler (4) within 30 runs, England returned half of their team to the pavilion for 102 runs.


 Liam Livingston then shared a 46-run partnership with Moin Ali. Livingston scored 33 (33) with the help of two fours and two sixes before Pandya was dismissed. Wali, who came to bat at number eight, also shared a 62-run partnership with Moin. Moin added 47 runs in his innings with the help of two fours and two sixes while Wali scored 41 runs with the help of two sixes and two fours.


Apart from them, none of the English batsmen failed to play a significant role and England were all out for 246 runs. For India, Yuji Chahal took the most four wickets while Hardik Pandya and Jaspreet Bumrah took two wickets each. Muhammad Sami and Prasad Krishna took one wicket each. Chasing England's target of 247, the entire Indian team was bowled out for 146 in 38.5 overs. For India, Hardik Pandya scored 29, Jadeja 29, Suria Kumar Yadav 27 and Mohammad Shami 23 runs. Kohli scored 16 runs. Reese Witherspoon was named Player of the Match.
