IND vs ENG: The England team looked helpless in the first ODI in front of the Indian bowlers at Cunnington Oval in London. He lost 5 wickets for 26 runs and thus a bad record was recorded in the name of the visiting team. Never before has a team's 5 wickets against India fallen so low in ODIs.

The England team got off to a bad start in the first match of the ODI series against India (IND vs ENG 1st ODI). The great batsmen of the team looked helpless in front of fast bowler Jaspreet Bumrah. Jaspreet Bumrah took 4 wickets in his first 4 overs and broke the back of the host team. England also had a bad record, which hardly any other team would want to make.

At the Kington Oval in London, India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and invited England to bat first. The captain of the host team, Jose Butler, could hardly have imagined that this would be the beginning. Fast bowler Jaspreet Bumrah got the second over of the innings, in which he took 2 wickets. Jaspreet Bumrah bowled English batsman Jason Roy (0) on the third ball of the over. On the last ball of the same over, Joe Root (0) was also caught by Bumrah at the hands of Pant.

Mohammad Shami then sent Ben Stokes to the pavilion on the fourth ball of his second (third inning) over without opening an account. Jaspreet Bumrah caught Jonny Bairstow (7) off the third ball of his third (sixth innings) by Rishabh Pant. This made England score 17 runs for 4 wickets. Jaspreet Bumrah then bowled Liam Livingstone in his fourth (eighth inning) over without opening his account. Half of England's team had returned to the pavilion for just 26 runs.

The English team had such a bad record. Never before has a team's 5 wickets against India fallen so low in ODIs. Earlier, India had scored 5 wickets for 29 runs in the ODI match played in Colombo in 1997. The Indian bowlers had taken five wickets for 30 runs against Zimbabwe in Harare in 2005 and in 1997 they sent half of the West Indies to the pavilion for 32 runs in Port of Spain.
